What's New in Client Playbooks

A running log of what's shipped — new playbook capabilities, exports, themes, and platform improvements. Older entries are kept for reference; the most recent release is at the top.

v0.4 — Talking Points & Office-Ready Exports

April 30, 2026

This release closes the loop between the playbook and the actual conversation it's built for, and gives agencies clean handoff formats their clients already use.

  • Talking points. Every playbook now has a companion talking-points view — per-slide, AI-drafted, fully editable, and exportable as a separate document for reading off during the discovery call.
  • PowerPoint export. Export any playbook as a real .pptx deck, themed and ready to drop into a client's deck system.
  • Document export. Export the playbook as a clean prose document for sharing as a written proposal alongside (or instead of) the slide format.
  • Audit framework expansion. The underlying audit pipeline now produces structured signals across the full set of services agencies pitch — feeding richer, more specific copy into every generated slide.
  • Webhooks management. Manage outbound webhooks from inside the app, send test payloads, and wire playbook events into your CRM or Zapier flow.
  • Theme polish, faster slide rendering, and a long list of editor fixes.

v0.3 — The Theme System

April 26, 2026

A foundation release: the slide system was rebuilt around a real theme architecture so playbooks can look like the agency, not like Client Playbooks.

  • Fifteen built-in slide themes — bloom, blueprint, gazette, glossy, grid, ink, manifesto, meridian, paper, plain, press, riso, signal, spec, and zine — each a complete typographic and layout system, not just a color swap.
  • Per-playbook color pickers. Every theme is wired to four theme colors so changing one slider re-skins the entire deck without touching individual slides.
  • Cleaner foundation. Removed the legacy security-tooling code that was inherited from the prior codebase and wasn't part of the playbook product.
  • Marketing site refresh: home, agencies, and pricing pages rewritten around the playbook story.

v0.2 — The Internal App

April 23, 2026

The first end-to-end version of the product agencies actually log into and use.

  • End-to-end playbook generation. Drop in a prospect, the platform runs the audit, the AI pipeline drafts the deck, and you land in the editor with a full first draft.
  • Agency profile, service profiles, and templates. Describe your agency once, describe each service you sell once, and reuse them across every playbook.
  • Visual slide editor. Edit, reorder, duplicate, and lock slides; choose templates per slide.
  • Present mode for showing the playbook live in the browser.
  • Auth, billing, and OAuth. Sign up, log in with Google / Facebook / Microsoft, and pay through Stripe.
  • API + webhooks (initial). Programmatic playbook creation for CRM integrations.

v0.1 — Public Site

April 20, 2026

First public version of clientplaybooks.com — marketing site, plans, and account creation, ahead of the internal app rollout.
